Trekking tour on Artos, Nemrut and Suphan: three dormant volcanoes located around Van Lake (the biggest and the most beautiful lake in Turkey). Fantastic experience for all hiking and nature lovers.
During our trekking tour in Van area you will climb on three beautiful mountains: Artos (3550 m.), Nemrut (3050 m.) and Suphan (4058 m.) and enjoy stunning view of Van Lake from their summits. You will also have opportunity to swim in clear water of the lake. Our tour will give you also great cultural experience: you will visit old Armenian Church of the Holy Cross located on Akdamar Island and Van Castle built by Urartians i 9th century BC.

We recommend you to choose summer months for your trekking tour around Van Lake. The best time to climb Artos, Nemrut and Suphan is between June and September.
Our guide will pick you up from the airport in Van. From the airport we will drive to city centre of Van and we will visit beautiful Van Castle (Urartian fortress built during the 9th to 7th century BC).
Then we will drive to Gevas, where is small ferry terminal. We will have short cruise to Akdamar Island on the Van Lake. On the island we will have opportunity to visit old Armenian Church of the Holy Cross, which was built in 10th century, and enjoy bath in the lake as well. After the cruise we will drive to a campsite near to the foot of Mount Artos.
Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite (in tents).
Breakfast at the campsite. After meal we will start to climb Mount Artos (3550 m.) Ascent should take about 5-6 hours. After reaching the summit and resting we will descent to the campsite, pack our equipment and drive to Tatvan. We will pitch our tents at the campsite near to Mount Nemrut.
Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
After breakfast we will start ascent to the beautiful Crater Lake which is on Mount Nemrut and then we will continue our trek to the Nemrut summit (3050 m.). From the summit we will have breathtaking view of Van Lake. Then we will descent to the campsite, pack our luggage and drive to Adilcevaz and Mount Suphan. We will pitch our tents on the campsite near Mount Suphan. Dinner and overnight there.
That day we will have very early wake up. We will eat breakfast, take lunch packets and start trekking on Mount Suphan (4058 m.). Ascent to the summit of Suphan can take 6-8 hours. After reaching the summit and enjoying fantastic view of Van Lake and surroundings, we will descent to the campsite. From the foot of Mount Suphan we will drive to Van, to our hotel.
After check-in and short rest we will have dinner in a restaurant.
Overnight in Van.
Breakfast at the hotel. If we have time, we can visit city centre and make some shopping (buy famous Van cheese or some souvenirs- especially we recommend you beautiful silver jewellery).
Transfer to the airport in Van for your returning flight.
