Program

Day OneKayseri airport – Cappadocia

Our guide will meet you at the airport in Kayseri. From the airport we will drive to Cappadocia, to our hotel. After check-in we will have free time. Transfer time: 1,15 h; Transfer distance: 75km (Kayseri - Cappadocia)

Day TwoMeskendir Valley – Red & Rose Valley – Cavusin – Pasabaglari

Today we will start our walking in the Meskendir Valley (one of the most stunning valley of Cappadocia, situated between Ortahisar and Cavusin). We will follow the path which is full of old Cave houses and complexes from the old Christian civilization. From the Meskendir Valley we will continue our walk to the Red Valley, the most beautiful valley in Cappadocia. From time to time we will stop to sea rock carved churches hidden in the valleys or make a short break for drinking tea or cold drinks in local tea gardens. We will continue our tour to Cavusin, one of the oldest Christian villages built in Cappadocia region. After having lunch in Cavusin we will walk along the amazing Pasabaglari Area (Monks Valley).

Day ThreeAkvadi (White Valley) – Uchisar – Pigeon Valley

In the morning our driver will take us to the Akvadi (White Valley). We will follow an old river bed, used nowadays for vineyards. At noon we will arrive in Uchisar village to visit the Uchisar fortress, the highest viewpoint in Cappadocia. After having lunch we will continue our tour by walking through the Pigeon valley and later directly to Goreme, where we will stay for overnight.

Day FourHot air balloon tour - Goreme Open Air Museum – Horse riding in the valley of Cappadocia - Avanos

We will start the day very early. We will have hot air balloon tour, which will give the best opportunity to enjoy spectacular and surreal landscape of Cappadocia.
After balloon tour we will visit the Goreme Open Air Museum which is UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a complex of historical monasteries and cave churches with beautiful frescoes (wall paintings) from Byzantine period. After visiting Goreme Open Air Museum we will have horse riding tour among the fairy chimneys and unique landscape of Cappadocia. Afternoon we will visit Avanos - town which is famous mostly for its pottery since Roman times, but also silk, wool and carpet weaving.
Walking time: 1/2 h; Walking distance: 3-4km; Horse riding time: 1-1,5 hour

Day FiveCappadocia – Derinkuyu Underground City – Ihlara Valley & Selime Monastery

After breakfast at the hotel we will drive to Ihlara Valley. On the way we will visit the incredible underground city of Derinkuyu (8 floors, going to 64 m. under the ground). Afterwards we will continue driving to Ihlara Valley and later walk through the 14km long canyon holding a river and rock walls. After lunch in the middle of the valley, at a riverside restaurant, we will drive to the Selime Monastery- complex of buildings on a steep mountain slope, which is one of the most impressive places to visit in Cappadocia.

Transfer time: 1 + 1 h; Transfer distance: 80km (Goreme – Derinkuyu - Ihlara)

Day SixZelve Valley & Bike Riding to Sinasos and Ayvalık

In the morning we will visit Zelve - another fascinating valley of Cappadocia that will surprise you with its old cave settlements, churches, mills and mosque. After visiting Zelve we start another adventure and we will bike to Sinasos and Ayvalik villages of Cappadocia. Lunch will be in Mustafapaşa village.
Walking time: 1-2 h; Walking distance: 4-5km; Biking tour time: 3-4 hours, 10-12 km

Day SevenTransfer to the airport, fly back home via Istanbul

Depends on the flight schedule, transfer to the Kayseri airport.
